Details of Itinerary DAY 1 : Nairobi You arrive in the capital city of Nairobi and we transfer you to your city centre hotel where you stay overnight. Meals : Bed & Breakfast Accommodation: New Stanley Hotel DAY 2 : Nairobi to Masai Mara After breakfast in your Nairobi hotel your safari starts by driving north west across the highlands and down the rift valley escarpment to the valley floor past the volcanoes of Longonot and Suswa. You climb higher as you enter the Mara in time for a late lunch. After lunch at your lodge you have an afternoon game drive to start exploring the game reserve with the highest concentration of wild life in Kenya. Dinner, camp fire and overnight at your tented camp. Meals : Fullboard Accommodation: Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp DAY 3 : Masai Mara. Early morning game drive in the crisp morning air looking for predators on the move. Late breakfast in your camp followed by further game drives. The entire day is for game viewing. During the annual wildebeest migration take a lunch box to see the thousands of plains game, predators and exciting river crossings. The game viewing in the Mara is good all year round. Dinner, camp fire and overnight in your camp. Meals : Fullboard Accommodation: Kichwa TemboTented Camp DAY 4 : Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru. After breakfast you leave the Mara to drive over the wooded highlands of the Mau escarpment to then drop thousand of feet to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, longest valley in the world, to enter Lake Nakuru national park in time for lunch at your Lodge. After lunch you will drive around the Lake shore to see large flocks of migratory pink Flamingos, considered a wildlife spectacle when they number in the millions. DAY 5 : Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha Up early for an early morning game drive to see protected rhinos and the elegant rare Rothschild’s giraffe. After breakfast you leave behind the pink flamingo shores for a morning drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy tremendous panoramic views from the lovely green golf course overlooking the pretty Lake Naivasha. Here you may relax or, optionally, book a round of golf, a horse ride or a boat trip on the lake to meet the local hippo. Dinner and overnight at the country golf club Meals : Fullboard Accommodation: Great Rift Valley Lodge DAY 6 : Lake Naivasha to Samburu After breakfast you depart on a scenic drive to climb over high verdant woodland via Nyahururu Falls, often called its colonial name of Thomsons Falls, to cross the southern plains of the Laikipia close to the foothills of Mount Kenya as you cross the equator and then descend thousands of feet to the semi arid dry bush country of Samburu, home to the nomadic Rendille and Samburu Boran peoples. After a late lunch at your camp you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in this small rugged and remote park where game is plentiful close to the Ewaso Nyiro river. Dinner, camp fire and overnight at your camp Meals : Fullboard Accommodation : Larsens Samburu Camp DAY 7 : Samburu National Park You have a full day to explore the Samburu park considered one of the more colourful and attractive game viewing areas of Kenya. Your camp at Larsens is set in a tranquile environment where you embrace nature and the river brings you countless wildlife interest. Here you will find the rarer Grevy’s Zebra, reticulated giraffe and the long necked gerunuk gazelle. Dinner, camp fire and overnight at your camp. Meals : Fullboard Accommodation: Larsens Samburu Camp DAY 8 : Day of Departure After breakfast you will be driven back to Nairobi to be dropped off at the airport or your hotel arriving at lunch time.

Accommodation and meals in the lodges, park entrance fees, game drives, mineral water in vehicle and all transport from and return to hotel.

International flights to and from Kenya, Visas, Travel and Personal Accident insurance, porters, laundry, extra meals, minibar, telephone calls, drinks, tips and other personal expenses.
